My Work Immersion Experience

At first I was nervous about OJT or Work Immersion, I always think that is hard and difficult not just because we think that is hard but because of our strand, ICT. First day of our work immersion, we wrapped all the Landbank shirts and after that one of the staffs here ask me to xerox one of the papers, so I xerox it. And one of the youngest employee there teach us to fax something, after that we know how to do that so they give us all papers to fax it and I think its all about sending and receiving information and papers. And also I do answering calls. In our second day as a trainee, in day two, we arranged all the papers of the clients and we separate it by numbers lowest to highest. And because its three of us we do it fast and our schedule for that day is half day. Next day, we continue to arrange the papers as we do yesterday. After that I do scanning, printing, xerox and faxing, dialling numbers and answering calls in fax. And also I answered calls in our telephone hotline number. In our whole day, that is what I’ve done. Next day, we arranged that thing called “Checke” and it into pieces and drop it in the box. And we do faxing again, xerox and scanning papers. I’m also incharge in answering calls in our telephone and helping others to do their tasks. In the next day, when I entered Landbank I saw some other trainees from other school, Philtech. I arranged the checke and other important papers like check deposit, cash deposit, oncall deposit and payment papers. After that I do xerox and answering calls on telephone. Next day, we do scanning, xerox, printing and arranged clients paper, we also make a plan about our Christmas Party. Because of that we had a communication to other employee and other ojt’s but also I keep answering calls in our fax line and telephone number. In the next day, we arranged the money (10 pesos, 5 pesos and 1 peso coin) and we put it in the plastic and also we finish the papers and arranged it by date. I also answering calls and scan, we also do a drawlot for the exchange gifts for the employees and for us, trainees. The day before our christmas party we thought that we have ojt/office for that day so we arrived early in Landbank. But they say that we don’t have ojt for that day. So because were there we do faxing and arranged some papers and answering calls. Were there so we continued to work. Next day, the day of our Christmas Party, in the morning all of the employee’s are so busy in their works. But one of them ask me to help her and arranged some papers, arranged it by date, so I do that and also I file that and put that into the folder. In the evening, that is our Christmas Party, we have many delicious foods, we arranged the exchange gifts and decorations. After that our Party starts, it has many games that is fun and exciting. And I realized that working in Landbank is not easy because seeing them working their face are all serious and when it comes in BOR (money) they are all working hard. They have a lot of works to do. But in the other side they are friendly and easy to talk, they are also kind. And I learned that working is not a joke and we need to be serious in this things. And I noticed that even if they are serious they keep smiling to thier clients and to others. So, I also learned that even if you are busy in your work do not forget to smile. As a trainee in Landbank Tanay, all I can say is I had a good communication in the employees and other trainees or ojt. And a good and memorable work immersion experience there.
